Abstract

The rapid integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into language education has significantly transformed the process of learning English, particularly in the development of speaking skills. This study explores the importance of speaking practice in English language acquisition through AI-based platforms, drawing on global scientific research in applied linguistics, educational technology, and Second Language Acquisition (SLA). Speaking is widely recognized as one of the most challenging yet essential skills, requiring continuous interaction, immediate feedback, and contextualized practice. Empirical evidence from international research demonstrates that AI-assisted speaking practice improves pronunciation accuracy, fluency, lexical resource, and overall communicative competence.
