THE ROLE OF CRITICAL THINKING IN MODERN EDUCATION
Abstract
This article examines the role of critical thinking in modern education and its importance in developing students’ intellectual abilities. In the contemporary educational environment, students are expected not only to memorize information but also to analyze, evaluate, and apply knowledge in different situations. Critical thinking helps students become independent learners who can solve complex problems and make logical decisions. The article also discusses different teaching methods that help develop critical thinking skills in the classroom, such as discussions, debates, and problem-based learning. The study shows that critical thinking is an essential skill for academic success, professional development, and responsible participation in society.
