THE INFLUENCE OF DIGITAL COMMUNICATION ON LANGUAGE USE
Abstract
Digital communication has revolutionized the way people interact, significantly impacting language use among various platforms. This paper explores how digital communication has influenced linguistic structures, communication style and also vocabulary. The study highlights both positive and negative aspects of this linguistic evolution, emphasizing the effects on spelling, grammar and language diversity. It argues that although digital communication promotes global connectivity and efficiency, it also challenges traditional standards of clarity and language integrity, emphasizing the need for more structured and context-aware communication practices.
