SPECIFIC FEATURES OF TEACHING ENGLISH TO CADETS IN THE CONTEXT OF ESP
Abstract
This article examines the specific features of teaching English to cadets within the framework of English for Specific Purposes (ESP). In the context of modern military education, English serves as a key instrument for international communication, cooperation, and professional interaction. The study highlights that teaching English to cadets differs significantly from general language instruction due to their clearly defined professional needs, institutional discipline, and operational communication requirements. The paper focuses on several essential components of ESP instruction, including needs analysis, the integration of military terminology, the use of authentic materials, and the application of task-based and scenario-based learning methods.
