Digital Transformation in Education and Science: Opportunities and Challenges
Abstract
Digital transformation, driven by rapid developments in artificial intelligence (AI) and online technologies, is reshaping educational and scientific practices. In higher education, AI tools, learning management systems, and digital platforms are now central to teaching, learning, and research. This article examines the impact of digital technologies on university students and researchers, highlighting benefits and emerging challenges. While digital tools improve accessibility, flexibility, and collaboration, they raise concerns related to academic integrity, accuracy, and overreliance on automated systems. The article argues for responsible and balanced integration of AI within academic contexts.
